Was ist Religionswissenschaft? Welche Fragestellungen sind in dieser Disziplin zentral und welche wissenschaftlichen Zugänge können dort gefunden werden? In dieser Vorlesung werden sowohl Einblicke in die Geschichte des Faches, als auch in die gegenwärtigen Diskussionen ermöglicht werden. Außerdem wird auf unterschiedliche Zugänge innerhalb der Religionswissenschaft (wie z.B. soziologische, geschichtliche, phänomenologische und psychologische) eingegangen werden. Diese werden anhand von Texten erarbeitet und diskutiert. Das Ziel des Seminars ist es, die religionswissenschaftlichen Grundkenntnisse, Grundbegriffe und Grunddefinitionen zu vermitteln und zu erarbeiten.
