Humes "Treatise of Human Nature" ist ein Klassiker des Empirismus, der nicht nur maßgeblichen Einfluß auf das Denken Kants ausgeübt hat, sondern auch die zeitgenössische philosophische Diskussion nachhaltig prägt. Wir werden ausgewählte Passagen aus dem ersten Buch lesen, in dem Hume zu zentralen Fragen der theoretischen Philosophie Stellung bezieht. Als Textgrundlage wird uns die deutsche Übersetzung von Theodor Lipps dienen, die im Meiner-Verlag erschienen ist (22,90 €). Die Anschaffung wird empfohlen.

Voraussetzung für die Vergabe von 3 Leistungspunkten (Bachelor Einschreibung bis SoSe 11und Master of Education) ist die regelmäßige und aktive Teilnahme sowie das erfolgreiche Erbringen der benoteten Einzelleistung. Diese Einzelleistung beruht auf einer Mappe von Beiträgen. Diese Mappe kann enthalten: kurze schriftlich ausgearbeitete Diskussionsbeiträge, schriftliche Antworten auf Fragen des Dozenten im Anschluss an den Lehrstoff eines Semesterabschnitts, Protokolle von Diskussionen in der Veranstaltung, ausgearbeitete Vorlesungsmitschriften oder Ähnliches. Der genaue Zuschnitt der Mappe wird zu Beginn des Semesters bekannt gegeben.
