In diesem Seminar werden theoretische Ansätze der Medienwirkungsforschung vorgestellt und diskutiert.
Der Fokus ruht zunächst auf Fragen:
1. nach dem Gegenstand der Wirkungsforschung
2. nach den Erklärungen und Ursachen für Medienwirkungen
3. nach den Instanzen und Prozessen der Vermittlung.
Ein Schwerpunkt bildet im Seminar die Beachtung der sozialen Kontexte und des aktiven Handelns der Mediennutzer.
Dabei soll die Annäherung an das Themenfeld als eine interdisziplinäre Herausforderung betrachtet werden.

Für die aktive Teilnahme ist neben der regelmäßigen Teilnahme ein Protokoll einer Sitzung anzufertigen oder ein Kurzreferat zu präsentieren.
Für eine benotete Einzelleistung kann eine Hausarbeit angefertigt werden.
Für eine unbenotete Einzelleistung können eine Hausarbeit, ein Lerntagebuch oder ein Referat erbracht werden.
