Im WS 11/12 soll ein weiterer Teil der Ilias behandelt werden, um das Grundziel, das Homer mit seiner Ilias verfolgt, weiter zu untersuchen und dazu auch noch spezielle Anliegen. Über die bereits behandelten Teile aus den Anfängen der Ilias wird kurz berichtet werden, sie sind aber in keiner Weise eine Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme am Seminar. Ausgangspunkte für die Einsicht in die Ziele des Iliasdichters sind wieder Übersetzungen zentraler Partien; dafür werden dann Texte, Übersetzungen und gesonderte Kommentare verteilt.
