Sum pius Aeneas (1.378), so stellt sich Aeneas vor, als er seiner Mutter unbekannterweise gegenübertritt. Was bedeutet dieses Epitheton in Vergils Werk? Welche Wertervorstellungen werden durch die Figur Aeneas verkörpert? In einem weiteren Schritt wollen wir uns der Darstellung von einigen Göttern in der Aeneis zuwenden. Welche Werte verkörpern sie, v.a. im Gegensatz zu denen der menschlichen Hauptdarsteller?
