T. Pomponius Atticus, apolitischer Epikureer, Literaturförderer, Unternehmer, ist eine besonders interessante Figur der ausgehenden römischen Republik. Unser Seminar wird sich zunächst mit der Biographie beschäftigen, die ihm Cornelius Nepos gewidmet hat. Anschließend sollen Ciceros Epistulae ad Atticum, die Verwendung der Figur Atticus in Ciceros philosophischen Dialogen und kurz die Fragemente von Atticus' eigenen historischen Werken behandelt werden.
