240031 Proseminar Lineare Algebra (PS) (WiSe 2011/2012)

Im Zentrum des Proseminars stehen zwei Gegenstände. Zum einen werden wir uns mit Formen auf endlichdimensionalen Vektorräumen befassen, nämlich symmetrischen, alternierenden und hermiteschen. Dabei werden einige Abschnitte aus Kap. XIV des Buches ``Algebra'' von S. Lang behandelt. Den anderen Gegenstand bilden die nilpotenten und auflösbaren Lieschen Algebren. Dabei orientieren wir uns an den ersten Abschnitten aus dem Buch ``Introduction to Lie Algebras and Representation Theory'' von J.E. Humphreys. U.a. wird der Satz von Lie vorgestellt, welcher besagt, dass man die Matrizen in einem linearen Unterraum des Raumes aller quadratischen komplexen Matrizen unter passenden Voraussetzungen (wenn eine auflösbare Liesche Algebra vorliegt -- was immer das ist) simultan auf Dreiecksgestalt transformieren kann. Dies verallgemeinert einen wohlbekannten Satz über einzelne Matrizen.
