Das GSM "Quellen und Methoden der Umweltgeschichte" führt in einem ersten Schritt in das Feld der Umweltgeschichte ein. Wir schauen uns also an, welche Fragen man aus der Perspektive der Umweltgeschichte eigentlich stellen kann, und das sowohl aus europäischer als auch aussereuropäischer (Nordamerika und Karibik) Sicht sowie für verschiedene Epochen. Daran schließt sich direkt die Frage nach den Quellen und Methoden der Umweltgeschichte an. Anhand verschiedener, konkreter Fallbeispiele erarbeiten Sie sich im Kurs das Wissen und das Handwerk, wie Sie historische Dokumente umweltgeschichtlich betrachten und bearbeiten können.
