Im Mittelpunkt des Kurses steht die Vermittlung grundlegender Strukturen der Sport- und Bewegungsspiele sowie der wichtigsten Fähigkeiten und Fertigkeiten zur Realisierung dieser. Bearbeitet werden die fundamentalen Kompetenzen für das Anleiten und die Gestaltung von Spiel und Sport in der Grundschule. Der Schwerpunkt liegt hier im Bereich der Hinführung zu Zielschuss- und Wurfspielen. Hierbei werden zusammenhängende Strukturen verschiedener Spielformen ebenso betrachtet, wie Modifikationsmöglichkeiten und deren Auswirkungen auf das Spiel. Neben hinführenden kleinen Spielen sind dabei in erster Linie strukturtheoretische Grundlagen der großen Sportspiele Thema der Veranstaltung. Die Studierenden können dazu ihre eigenen Bewegungserfahrungen erweitern.
