230176 Um 1500: Minne und Abenteuer (S) (SoSe 2021)

Einigen spannenden Romanen des Mittelalters ist eine Vielzahl von Abenteuern gemein, die sich aus der ‚Minne‘ ergeben, d.h. aufgrund von Brautwerbung (auch Brautraub) oder einer Trennung zwischen den Liebenden entstehen. Diese Abenteuer dienen nicht notwendig, wie oft im höfischen Roman der Zeit, der ethischen Vervollkommnung eines Helden, sie eröffnen hier vor allem die Möglichkeit für immer neue Erfahrungen des Unbekannten und des Wunderbaren und führen die Protagonisten (und somit auch die Lesenden) in der halben Welt herum. Damit setzt diese Art von Epik die mhd. ‚Spielmanns‘-dichtung fort, knüpft jedoch auch an die Liebes- und Reiseromane der Spätantike an. Zugleich leitet sie mit dem frühneuhochdeutschen Prosaroman ‚Die schöne Magelone‘ über zur Erzählliteratur der Neuzeit.
