Im Seminar „Soziologie des politischen Systems“ geht es um die Grundfragen der politischen Soziologie, also darum, wie Gesellschaft auf die Politik einwirkt und wie Politik die Gesellschaft beeinflusst.
Im ersten Teil des Seminars werden unterschiedliche theoretische Perspektiven auf diese Wechselbeziehungen kennengelernt. Hierbei werden auch die Gesellschaftskonzeptionen der klassischen politischen Vorstellungswelten von Konservatismus, Liberalismus und Sozialismus, die nachhaltig auch moderne Parteiensysteme prägen, diskutiert.
Im zweiten Teil werden dann Fälle besprochen, die zum einen den gesellschaftlichen Gesamtzusammenhang unterschiedliche Politikfelder in den Blick nehmen und zum anderen die Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede der Gesellschaft-Politik-Beziehungen in verschiedenen kulturellen und historischen Kontexten beleuchten werden.
Eine Studienleistung kann durch ein Referat erbracht werden.
Für eine Prüfungsleistungen kann eine Hausarbeit geschrieben werden.
