250104 Hilfsschule im Zusammenhang von Zwangssterilisation und Euthanasie (S) (WiSe 2006/2007)

Im Seminar wird untersucht, in welcher Weise Hilfsschülerinnen und -schüler in der NS-Zeit von Zwangssterilisation und von der Vernichtung durch "Euthanasie" betroffen waren und welche Rolle die Hilfsschule und ihre Lehrerschaft dabei gespielt haben. Ausgangspunkt dieser Untersuchung stellt die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Gesetz zur Verhütung erbkranken Nachwuchses und mit der Diskussion um "lebensunwertes Leben" dar. Analysiert werden insbesondere zeitgenössische Stellungnahmen von Hilfsschullehrern und Ärzten zu diesem Gesetz sowie die Neubestimmung und Aufwertung, die die Hilfsschule und ihre Lehrerschaft durch es in der NS-Zeit erfahren. Darüber hinaus werden empirische Untersuchungen aus der NS-Zeit und aus der Gegenwart analysiert, die das Betroffensein von Hilfsschülerinnen und -schülern durch Zwangssterilisation und Euthanasie und/oder die Rolle von Hilfsschullehrerinnen und -lehrer bei der Durchführung des GzVeN zum Gegenstand haben.
