Die Veranstaltung greift das recht spannungsreiche Verhältnis von Theorie und Praxis in der Ausbildung und Professionalisierung von Lehrerinnen und Lehrern auf: Welchen Nutzen kann erziehungswissenschaftliches Wissen für das Lehrerhandeln haben? Welches Wissen benötigen LehrerInnen überhaupt und führt dieses Wissen zu einem besseren praktischen Können? Diese und ähnliche - von Studierenden oft selbst aufgeworfene Fragen - sollen der Ausgangspunkt für eine Auseinandersetzung mit Theorien und empirischen Studien zum Lehrerhandeln sein. Das Ziel liegt dabei sowohl in einer theoretisch-fundierten Erarbeitung unterschiedlicher Professionalsierungskonzepte, es soll aber vor allem auch eine kritische Reflexion zu den eigenen Vorstellungen zum Theorie-Praxis-Verhältnis sowie zum eigenen Rollenverständnis angeregt werden.
