300121 Neue Formen der Produktion und Distribution von Wissen - die Rolle des Internet (S) (WiSe 2006/2007)

Mit dem Internet sind neue Formen der Wissensproduktion und -distribution entstanden. Freie/Open Source Software, die Enzyklopädie Wikipedia, Open Access und Open Content bilden Beispiele, bei denen Wissen kollektiv produziert und interessierten Nutzern kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Im Seminar sollen diese z.T. noch recht jungen Entwicklungen mit soziologischen Mitteln reflektiert werden. Ziel ist es dabei, Ähnlichkeiten und Differenzen zwischen den genannten empirischen Beispielen zu erarbeiten und Bezüge zur soziologischen Theorie herzustellen.

Dabei stehen die folgenden Problemstellungen im Zentrum:

  • rechtliche, normative und kognitive Bedingungen für das Entstehen dieser Form der Wissensproduktion und -distribution
  • Ursachen für die Beteiligung der Akteure an der Bereitstellung des Wissens
  • Organisation des Prozesses der Wissensgenerierung
  • Reputationssysteme
  • Qualitätssicherung des Wissens.

Anforderungen an eine erfolgreiche Teilnahme: Erarbeiten und Diskussion von Referaten zu den einzelnen Themen. Ein ausführlicher Themen- und Literaturplan ist vor Semesterbeginn erhältlich.
