Die Veranstaltung Grammatiktheorie baut auf den Kenntnissen aus den Basismodulen zur Sprachbeschreibung und zu den formalen Methoden auf und vertieft diese. Zur Sprache kommen aktuelle Fragen der korrekten formalen Erfassung von linguistischen Generalisierungen sowie ihrer empirischen Validierung in Phonologie, Morphologie, Syntax und Semantik.
Nachdem ein Überblick über die Theorien und Modelle der Sprachwissenschaft erarbeitet worden ist, werden zwei theoretische Ansätze detailliert beleuchtet und kritisch diskutiert.
