Das Seminar möchte nicht nur die im Basismodul erworbenen morphologischen Grundlagen auffrischen, sondern einige Fragestellungen der Morphologie unter zwei Perspektiven vertiefen:
Zum einen soll den sprachtheoretischen Überlegungen nachgegangen werden, welche Stellung die Morphologie im Sprachsystem einnimmt und wie sich Gesetzmäßigkeiten in der Wortbildung oder Flexion modellieren lassen.
Zum anderen soll in einer sprachhistorischen Perspektive berücksichtigt werden, dass sich morphologische Erscheinungen im Laufe der Sprachgeschichte verändern, d.h. Sprachwandelprozessen unterworfen sind. In diesem Zusammenhang sollen auch aktuelle Variationen in der Morphologie des Deutschen betrachtet werden (dem Bär – dem Bären, wegen Ärger mit der Versicherung – wegen Ärgers mit der Versicherung, …).
