In der ersten Hälfte des Semesters sollen, nach der Flugschrift "Der Hessische Landbote" (1834), Büchners Dramen "Danton's Tod" (1835), "Leonce und Lena" (1836) sowie "Woyzeck" (1837) diskutiert werden.
Die zweite Hälfte steht im Zeichen der Auseinandersetzung mit dem Dichter (J.M.R.) Lenz. Neben Büchners Erzählung (1835) ließe sich sowohl ein Blick auf Verfilmungen des Textes als auch auf literarische Reminiszenzen werfen, wie z.B. Peter Schneiders "Lenz" (1973) oder Gert Hofmanns "Die Rückkehr des verlorenen Jakob Michael Reinhold Lenz nach Riga" (1984).
