Das Seminar bietet eine Einführung in verschiedene Teilbereiche der Korpuslinguistik. Ausgehend von der Frage, was ein Korpus ist und wozu man es braucht, werden die Erstellung, Verwaltung, Informationsanreicherung von Korpora durch Annotation, sowie die Analyse von Korpora thematisiert.
Neben der theoretischen Einführung werden die Studierenden die Möglichkeit haben, unter Anleitung eigene kleine Korpusstudien durchzuführen. Diese könnten bei Bedarf als Grundlage für weitergehende Leistungen wie Haus-/Projektarbeiten oder Modulabschlussarbeiten genutzt werden.
