Die Frage, ob der Mensch eine Seele hat und, falls ja, wie sich die Seele zum Körper verhält, beschäftigt die Philosophie seit ihrem Beginn. Schon in der Antike wurde sie immer wieder diskutiert; aber auch später hat sie nichts von ihrer Brisanz verloren.
In diesem Seminar sollen anhand klassischer Texte wichtige Positionen in der Philosophie des Geistes behandelt werden – in der Antike die Positionen der Atomisten, Platons und Aristoteles’; dann relativ ausführlich die Position Descartes’ sowie zum Abschluss Antworten auf Descartes.
Die Texte werden rechtzeitig in elektronischer Form zur Verfügung gestellt.
