230065 Toleranz im Mittelalter? (S) (SoSe 2011)

Ist in der Zeit der Kreuzzüge Platz für Toleranz gegenüber anderen Religionen und Kulturen? Hat die Ringparabel aus Lessings „Nathan der Weise“ mittelalterliche Vorläufer? Dieses Seminar geht solchen Fragen nach, indem es in genauer Textlektüre (z.B. Wolfram von Eschenbach: „Willehalm“; Rudolf von Ems: „Der guote Gêrhart“; Giovanni Boccaccio: „Il Decamerone“) gängige Vorurteile gegenüber dem „Mittelalter“ auf den Prüfstand stellt.
