Schulsozialarbeit stellt ein interessantes Arbeitsfeld dar, das besonders im Kontext von Ganztagsschulen zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnt. Im Seminar wird es darum gehen, die Geschichte der Schulsozialarbeit aufzuarbeiten, um so einen Spannungsbogen bis in die Gegenwart hinein nachzeichnen zu können. Dabei stehen Fragen des "Professionsverständnisses" von Schul- und Sozialpädagogik ebenso im Zentrum, wie die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen und aktuellen Aufgabenzuschreibungen.

Die Bescheinigung einer Aktiven Teilnahme (AT) erfolgt durch die eigenverantwortliche Vorbereitung von Inhalten in Lerngruppen (zwischen mind. 2 und max. 5 TN) und der kontinuierlichen Teilnahme an den gemeinsamen Sitzungssterminen.
