Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung erhalten die Teilnehmer/innen einen Einblick in die verschiedenen Tätigkeitsfelder, die das Studium der Psychologie eröffnet. Praktiker, die in den klassischen Bereichen der klinischen, pädagogischen und AO-Psychologie als angestellte oder freiberuflich tätige Diplom-Psychologen beschäftigt sind, berichten über ihre Arbeit und stehen für eine Diskussion zur Verfügung. Neben den Vorträgen setzten sich die Studierenden in Kleingruppen mit jeweils einer/m Berufstätigen näher auseinander und stellen die Ergebnisse eines Interviews und Hintergrundinformationen in Form eines Posters dar.

Diese Veranstaltung ist dem Modul U des BSc-Studiengangs zugeordnet.
Die aktive Teilnahme an mind. 8 Sitzungen ist Voraussetzung zur Vergabe von Leistungspunkten. Die Anwesenheit in der ersten Sitzung ist aus organisatorischen Gründen zwingend notwendig, spätere Interessenten können nicht mehr teilnehmen.

Studierende erhalten in dieser Veranstaltung 2 LP für eine aktive Teilnahme. Die aktive Teilnahme umfasst Anwesenheit in 90% der Sitzungen, die Erarbeitung von Gruppenprojekten und deren Präsentation im Rahmen des Seminars.
