Would you like to be noticed for just how comprehensive your command of the English language is? Being able to confidently articulate yourself in English is a crucial skill but being able to do so with added charm, flair and social and cultural sensitivity will set you apart from your peers.

Through a variety of activities and approaches, this course focuses on helping its participants build their advanced general active and passive vocabulary in order to enable a better range of expression. While vocabulary is the main focus of the class, learning is contextualised within communicative exercises and activities focused on advanced themes, thus providing an environment for practicing general English communication skills at the advanced level as well.

Requirements for participation, required level

Successful completion of a course rated C1
-or- a passing score for the C1 level on the C-Test of the Language Center (Infos unter https://www.uni-bielefeld.de/einrichtungen/fsz/tests_and_certs/placement/)
-or- a passing grade on the B2.2 Level Exam (given at then end of every summer semester).

1. Regular class participation (a maximum of three absences is tolerated).
