This course will focus on grammatical structures that are crucial for clear, precise, high-level academic writing in English. We will focus on things like writing in different tenses, the active vs. the passive voice, using adjective and adverb clauses, writing with sentence variety, and so on.
This course will be structured as a "flipped" class: exercises will be done at home in preparation for class meetings. The class will be entirely online. Materials will be provided on Lernraum+, and class meetings will be held on Zoom. Students should make sure they have a working computer with a strong internet connection, and working camera and microphone.
This course is open to all levels, but a minimum of a strong B1 is recommended.
NOTE: A c-test (placement test) result is not required for this course.
Materials will be provided.
