230461 Medea: Zauberin, Ehefrau, Kindsmörderin - Rezeption in Literatur und Kunst von der Antike bis zur Gegenwart (S) (WiSe 2020/2021)

Der Medea-Stoff wurde schon in der Antike von unterschiedlichen Autoren in unterschiedlichen Genres bearbeitet: als Hauptfigur in den Tragödien von Euripides und Seneca, als Figur in den Epen von Apollonius von Rhodos, Ovid oder Valerius Flaccus. Im Mittelalter wird sie zur höfischen Dame, in den Opern des 16. und 17. Jh. ist sie v.a. die Geliebte Jasons, die den Helden betört, und schließlich ist sie unschuldiges Opfer bei Christa Wolf.
Im Seminar werden wir einen Streifzug durch verschiedenen Umsetzungen des Medea-Stoffs unternehmen. Dabei sollen auch Darstellungen der bildenen Kunst und aus Opern und Filmen in den Blick genommen werden.
Falls das WS wieder ein on-line-Semester sein sollte, findet diese Veranstaltung größtenteils per Zoom zum angegebenen Termin statt.
