Auf dieser Exkursion werden wichtige ökologische Aspekte des mediterranen Raumes erarbeitet. Es wird zudem ein grundlegender Überblick über die dort vorherrschenden terrestrischen und aquatischen Tier- und Pflanzengruppen vermittelt. Weiterhin werden in kleinen Arbeitsgruppen spezielle Themen hierzu bearbeitet, und deren Ergebnisse vor Ort von den Teilnehmern vorgestellt. Die Exkursion kann der Vorbereitung einer Klassenfahrt im Leistungskurs Biologie dienen.
