Die Veranstaltung umfasst 3 LVS, d.h. eine entsprechende Anzahl von Veranstaltungsterminen im Februar finden nicht statt.
In der Vorlesung werden verschiedene Aspekte der Anwendungen der Mathematik behandelt. Zum einen sollen mathematische Modelle mithilfe elementarer analytischer Werkzeuge untersucht, zum anderen sollen anhand stochastischer Modelle die Grundideen der Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung erarbeitet werden. Darüber hinaus werden kombinatorische Fragestellungen diskutiert.
Die Veranstaltung findet nicht als Präsenzveranstaltung statt. Die Vorlesung wird als Live-Vorlesung in einer Zoom-Konferenz zu den genannten Veranstaltungszeiten gehalten. Sofern technisch möglich, wird eine Aufzeichnung der Veranstaltung im Lernraum für 48 Stunden bereitgestellt. Diese darf nicht archiviert oder verbreitet werden.
