240031 Proseminar Gruppen und Geometrie (PS) (WiSe 2020/2021)

Gruppen und Geometrie sind untrennbar miteinander verbunden. Das Seminar liefert einen Einstieg in die Gruppentheorie, wobei Gruppen stets als "Symmetriegruppen" von mathematischen bzw. geometrischen Objekten verstanden werden.

Das Seminar folgt dem Buch "Groups and geometry" von Peter M. Neumann ; Gabrielle A. Stoy ; Edward C. Thompson (welches in der Bibliothek zur Verfügung gestellt wird).

Organisatorisches: Zu jedem Vortrag gibt es ein vorbereitendes Gespräch mit dem Dozenten zwei Wochen vor dem Vortrag (im Anschluß an das Seminar). Zu diesem Termin soll der Vortrag schriftlich ausgearbeitet vorliegen.
