Das Seminar wird sich anhand konkreter literarischer Beispiele mit der Frage beschäftigen, was politische Literatur für Kinder und Jugendliche leisten kann und wie sie idealerweise beschaffen sein sollte. Untersucht werden sowohl inhaltliche als auch formal-ästhetische Aspekte der ausgewählten Literatur. Grundlegende Kenntnisse im Bereich der Erzähl- und Bilderbuchanalyse werden ebenso vorausgesetzt, wie die Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft englische (Forschungs-)Literatur zu lesen.
