Das Seminar findet in diesem Semester statt.

Das 18. Jahrhundert gilt in der Forschung als 'das' Jahrhundert der Anonymität.
Texte, die uns heute unter dem jeweiligen Autornamen bekannt sind
(u.a. «Geschichte des Agathon», «Geschichte des Fräuleins von Sternheim»,
«Miss Sara Sampson», «Die Leiden des jungen Werthers»,«Die Räuber», «William Lovell»),
erschienen ursprünglich ohne die Nennung eines Verfassers auf dem Titelblatt.

An ausgewählten Textbeispielen aus dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert
werden wir unter Berücksichtigung epochenspezifischer Entwicklungen
Dimensionen, Formen und Funktionen von Anonymität gemeinsam diskutieren,
und danach fragen, inwiefern sich in dieser Hinsicht eine Zäsur um 1800 beobachtet lässt.
