Contents, comment

This course will showcase one of the greatest cities in the world: LONDON! Students will exercise their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills by learning about the varied history of London, its place as the capital of the United Kingdom, the tradition of art, literature, and culture that came from the city, and the fascinating and unusual architecture, both historical and modern-day. Of course, we also be discussing current events that affect the city, such as the impending Brexit and Harry and Meghan quitting the royal family.

As part of the course, students will plan a sightseeing trip to London, picking out and reporting on important places to see. After the semester ends we will take this trip as a group in order to see as much as we can of the city we've been talking about all semester. This trip will take place in September. NOTE: Going on this trip is NOT a requirement for taking the course.
