230022 W-Fragen im Sprachvergleich (S) (SoSe 2020)

In diesem Kurs lernen Studierende die syntaktischen, informationsstrukturellen (inklusive prosodischen Eigenschaften) und semantischen Eigenschaften von w-Fragen wie Welche Spielsachen haben sich die Kinder gewünscht? kennen und diese mit linguistischen Mitteln zu analysieren. Dabei konzentrieren wir uns zunächst auf die strukturellen Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede von W-Fragen in verschiedenen Sprachen der Welt (wh-in-situ, multiple wh-questions, etc). Wir untersuchen die syntaktischen, semantischen und informationsstrukturellen Eigenschaften vertiefend in ausgewählten Sprachen. Danach nehmen wir die sogenannten Inselbeschränkungen in den Blick, die sprachübergreifend gelten. Inseln sind Konstituenten, die nicht mit einer W-Fragen verbunden werden können, wie beispielsweise komplexe Nominalphrasen (*Welche Spielsachen äußerten die Kinder [den Wunsch, dass sie kaufen wollen].). Dabei schauen wir uns syntaktische, psycholinguistische und informationsstrukturelle Erklärungen für diese Beschränkungen an.
