Die Veranstaltung findet statt.
Während des reinen Onlinelehrezeitraums haben Studierende regelmäßig Gelegenheit, in Gruppen von bis zu vier Personen in einem geschlossenen Meetingraum im Gespräch mit dem Dozenten Fragen zu den aktuellen Kursinhalten, sowie den dazugehörigen Kursmaterialien und dazugehörigen Übungen zu klären. Der Meetingraum wird vornehmlich in dem für die Präsenzlehre ausgewiesenen wöchentlichen Zeitfenster (Mittwoch 10-12 Uhr) zur Verfügung stehen. Weitere Erläuterungen hierzu und zu anderen Kursmodalitäten finden sich im LernraumPlus zur Veranstaltung.
In dieser Veranstaltung werden grundlegende Methoden der Computerlinguistik behandelt und in Teilen ein praktischer Umgang mit ihnen geübt. Es werden dabei Methoden zur elektronischen Kodierung von Texten, zur Arbeit mit / Verarbeitung von Worten in Texten, und zur Verarbeitung von Texten behandelt. Etwa das Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK), das auf der Programmiersprache Python basiert, bietet eine mögliche Übungsdomäne für die Anwendung.
Es wird erwartet, dass regelmäßig Aufgaben bearbeitet werden und die Lösungen in der Sitzung vorgestellt werden können.
