The main aim of this course is to make acquaintance with some of the most important trends in South Asian Historiography in recent decades; especially Subaltern Studies literature and theory, post-modernist analysis of coloniality and post-coloniality and the criticism levelled against these post-structuralist approaches in Indian History.
