Aufgrund der Corona-Problematik erscheint die Durchführung von Sportpraxis-Kursen mit Körperkontakt, und zu denen zählt natürlich Ringen und Kämpfen, auf absehbare Zeit kaum möglich. Deshalb haben sich Titel und Inhalt dieses Kurses verändert (siehe Inhalt).
Die aktuellen Planungen sehen vor, den Kurs "Westliche Kampfsportarten" als Blockveranstaltung im Juli/August/September (Blocktermine s.u.) durchzuführen. Änderungen sind aber weiterhin nicht auszuschließen.

Worin liegt die Faszination des Kampfes und welche westlichen Kampfsportarten eignen sich für den Schulsport?
Im Rahmen des Seminars sollen grundlegende Fertigkeiten westlicher Kampfsportarten erworben werden. Den Studierenden werden im Laufe des Kurses Grundlagen des Boxsports, des Tae Kwon Do, des Kick- und Thaiboxens und des Stockkampfes vermittelt. Zusätzlich werden Möglichkeiten der Anwendung diverser Kampfsportarten für den Sportunterricht erörtert.
Für die Sitzungen wird reißfeste, enganliegende Kleidung empfohlen. Das Tragen von Schützern (Tief, Brust- und Mundschutz) und Schonern (Knie- und Ellenbogenschoner) ist gestattet, aber nicht notwendig, das Tragen von Schuhen und Socken (außer Ringer- und Boxerstiefel) ist nicht erlaubt.
