Die Erziehung zur sozialen Kompetenz sollte möglichst frühzeitig beginnen, wenn sie erfolgreich sein will. So ist die Familie traditionell der erste Ort zum Erlernen sozialer Kompetenzen. Darüber hinaus stellt die Förderung dieser Kompetenze aber auch in der Schule eine wichtige Aufgabe dar.
Im Rahmen dieses Seminars sollen neben der Entwicklung sozialer Kompetenzen in der Kindheit und Adoleszenz, schwerpunktmäßig Trainings- und Interventionsprogramme zur Förderung sozialer Kompetenzen besprochen werden. Diese Maßnahmen sollen im Plenum vorgestellt, ausprobiert und diskutiert werden.Es sollen möglichst viele veschiedene Methoden zum Einsatz kommen. Da die Studierenden selber eine Sitzung gestalten sollen, hängt es auch von ihnen ab, welche Arbeitsformen eingesetzt werden. Referate über 30 Minuten sollten möglichst vermieden werden.
