Die Lineare Algebra ist mit der Analysis eine der beiden Vorlesungen, die am Beginn eines Mathematikstudiums steht. In dieser Vorlesung beschäftigen wir uns mit der Theorie der Vektorräume und der linearen Abbildungen und damit mit zwei für die Mathematik grundlegenden Begriffen, die Ihnen in Ihrem Studium immer wieder begegnen werden.
Ausgehend von den schon aus der Schule bekannten Vektoren in Ebene und Raum entwickeln wir die Definition eines abstrakten Vektorraums und lernen auf Weg dorthin weitere elementare algebraische Strukturen kennen. Zentral wird letztlich in diesem ersten Teil der Vorlesung die Beschäftigung mit linearen Gleichungssystemen sein, die wie mittels der Methoden der Linearen Algebra lösen und verstehen werden.
