Das Neue Testament bildet die Grundschrift des Christentums. So ist es elementar, seine Inhalte und ihre Bedeutung für das Christentum zu kennen. Es ist eine Textsammlung, die in einer geographisch fernen Kultur vor bald 2000 Jahren verfasst wurde. Es wurde von unterschiedlichen Autoren geschrieben, die je ihre eigenen Intentionen hatten, ihren Glauben und ihre Überlieferungen zu versprachlichen und die Fundamente des christlichen Glaubens und Lebens zu formen.
Dieser Kurs leitet an, dem Neuen Testament unter historischen, literarischen und theologischen Methoden zu begegnen. Bei dieser Gelegenheit sollte auch der Text des Neuen Testaments möglichst weitgehend durchgelesen werden, damit das notwendige bibelkundliche Wissen erarbeitet werden kann.
