Das Seminar thematisiert die sog. klassischen Bildungstheorien konzipiert. Im Fokus stehen dabei die klassischen, idealistischen Werke über Bildung des Neuhumanismus, insbesondere Kant, Fichte, Humboldt und Hegel. Dabei sollen die Zusammenhänge von Politik und Pädagogik thematisiert werden. Dabei sind sowohl die zeithistorischen als auch die aktuellen Bezüge Gegenstand des Seminares.
