Ziel der Orientierenden Praxisstudien ist es, den Bachelorstudierenden
mit Kernfach Mathematik frühzeitig einen Einblick in die Berufspraxis
von Mathematikerinnen und Mathematiker zu vermitteln.
Dazu werden im Berufsleben stehende Mathematiker/innen (vielfach
ehemalige Absolventinnen und Absolventen unserer Fakultät)
als Referenten eingeladen, die über ihr aktuelles Berufsfeld,
über ihren Karriereweg seit dem Studium und allgemeine Fragen der
Berufsperspektive berichten.Nach Möglichkeit sollen verschiedene Wirtschaftsbranchen aber auch das
Lehramt an Gymnasien und Gesamtschulen berücksichtigt werden.
Lebhafte Diskussionen mit den Gästen sind erwünscht!Die Studierenden werden zu Beginn in kleinen Gruppen den jeweiligen
Referenten oder auch einem Thema (z. B. Jobbörsen) zugeordnet.
Sie haben die Aufgabe, die Gäste zu betreuen bzw. anzukündigen
und sich über das jeweilige Berufsfeld zu informieren.
Im weiteren Verlauf berichten die Studierenden dann in Kurzreferaten
über ihr Thema/ihren Referenten und fertigen in Kleingruppen eine
entsprechende Ausarbeitung an.Die Orientierenden Praxisstudien sind verpflichtend für Bachelorstudierende
mit Kernfach Mathematik.
