In this class, students from MA-level degree programmes in the social sciences, sociology in particular, are welcome to present ideas for their MA thesis as well as work-in-progress. A wide range of topics is covered: transnational and global migration processes, post-migration and post-coloniality, refugee movements, intersections of the global South & global North, transnational social spaces and mobilities, transnationalization (e.g. transnational social movements, cross-border religious communities), and heterogeneities and social inequalities (e.g. along class, gender, age, ethnicity).
