Eines der Themen, zu denen Gesellschaftstheoretiker und Sozialphilosophen sich immer wieder geäußert haben, ist, was schief läuft in der Gesellschaft - in ihrer eigenen, oder in Gesellschaft generell. Einige der Diagnosen sind: Tugendverfall, Vereinzelung/Atomisierung, Entfremdung, Identitätsverlust, Sinn- und Orientierungslosigkeit, Legitimitätskrise und Kommerzialisierung.
Außer klassischen Texten u.a. von Rousseau, Marx und Nietzsche werden wir ausgewählte Beiträge aus dem von Axel Honneth herausgegebenen Sammelband "Pathologien des Sozialen" besprechen. Da es sich z.T. um voraussetzungsreiche Texte handelt, sollte eine grundlegende Kenntnis der wichtigen Theorieansätze der politischen Philosophie vorhanden sein.
