240654 Elliptische Kurven (S) (SoSe 2010)

Es werden keine Bachelorarbeiten vergeben.
Im Seminar sollen elliptische Kurven behandelt werden, d.h.
projektive Kurven vom Geschlecht 1. Sie tragen eine Gruppenstruktur und
sind Spezialfälle abelscher Varietäten.
Zum einen wird für alle Körper eine algebraisch geometrische Beschreibung
erarbeitet werden. Zum anderen wird für den Körper der komplexen Zahlen
auch eine analytische Beschreibung gegeben werden. Weiterhin soll es um die
Rolle elliptischer Kurven in der Kryptographie gehen. Thematisch ist der
Inhalt relativ flexibel, so dass auf die Wünsche der Teilnehmer eingegangen
werden kann.

Als Vorkenntnisse sind Algebra I und Funktionentheorie nötig. Weiterhin
ist es gut, Grundlagen in kommutativer Algebra und algebraischer Geometrie
zu haben.
