Contents, comment

The content of the class is non-cooperative game theory.It is
concerned with interpersonal decision theory where outcomes are
determined jointly by players´uncoordinated independent strategic
actions.Static and dynamic models are considered and analyzed.
In a first part players are assumed to have full information on the rules of the game.In later parts asymmetric information of players is considered.

It is the goal of this class to prepare attandent students for a deeper analysis of and research in different parts of game theory and applications in economics and social sciences.

Requirements for participation, required level

Formal requirement is a bachelor degree or some equivalent.
A solid basis in intermediate microeconomis and in bachelor level
mathematics is assumed. The class is taught in English.
This course precedes in a natural way the course 311705 Mechanism Design (Microeconomics 2b)
