200603 Aufbaumodul Ökologie (Ü+S) (WiSe 2019/2020)

Der Kurs gliedert sich in vier Teile mit je 5 Kurstagen: aquatische Ökologie, chemische Ökologie, Bodenökologie und theoretische Ökologie. Jede(r) Teilnehmende besucht drei der vier Kursteile (wird zugeteilt).

In der aquatischen Ökologie werden Süßwasserorganismen bestimmt und ihre Eignung als Indikatororganismen getestet. Laborexperimente geben einen Einblick in die Interaktionen zwischen verschiedenen Organismen. Im Bereich der chemischen Ökologie wird die Rolle von Pheromonen und anderen Botenstoffen bei der Interaktion zwischen Individuen der gleichen Art und verschiedener Arten untersucht. Dazu werden Experimente mit Pflanzen- und Insektenarten durchgeführt. In der theoretischen Ökologie werden Modelle und Computersimulationen zu aktuellen ökologischen Problemstellungen durchgeführt. In der Bodenökologie werden zwei Teilbereiche der Ökologie vorgestellt: Populationsökologie und Bodenökologie. Neben Experimenten im Labor wird auch eine Exkursion zu wichtigen Bodentypen in der Umgebung von Bielefeld durchgeführt.
