In der aktuellen Diskussion wird von einem Begriff interkultureller Bildung in weltweiter Perspektive ausgegangen. Ziel ist dabei vor allem eine Enthierachisierung zwischen den Kulturen, die Überwindung einer eurozentristischen Perspektive sowie eine gleichrangige Betrachtung unterschiedlicher Kulturen. Was steht hinter den Ansätzen des interkulturellen und globalen Lernens, was sollen Kinder in der Auseinandersetzung mit diesen Themenbereichen lernen und wie lassen sich sinnvolle Handlungs- und Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten entwickeln - darum wird es vor allem in dieser Veranstaltung gehen.
