This course is intended for any student who is writing, or plans to write a longer academic work in English. (BA thesis, MA thesis, or PhD dissertation, or other projects). While this course is not discipline-specific, we will discuss general tactics and writing strategies, as well as research methods and time management skills.
This course is open to all levels, but a minimum level of B2 is recommended.
Topics covered: (subject to change due to the group's needs)
• Finding the right tone for your writing
• Using the right punctuation (including commas!)
• Writing longer works
• Overcoming writer’s block
• Presenting your written work
• Doing research in English
• Using the right word
• Incorporating outside sources
NOTE: A c-test (placement test) result is not required for this course.
