In this class students will practice how to conduct academic research and present the resulting insights and conclusions effectively with the use of technology. In order to achieve this goal, students will practice using the library, evaluating print and online resources; using resources effectively and responsibly, structuring a presentation, using visual aids, and will finally deliver a group presentation. In this sense, the class aims to teach students to be confident and professional presenters in an academic context. Further, by attending and evaluating other groups’ presentations, the course also gives students the opportunity to practice being more focused and attentive listeners.
