In this class, you are going to learn more about syntactic analysis using dialects of English as example data. We will discuss how varieties of English differ in terms of morphosyntax and connect this variation with sociolinguistic aspects that are important in the context of World Englishes. You will also be able to conduct small-scale research projects to apply your theoretical knowledge.
