Flucht ist ein aktuelles und kontroverses Thema, wobei es aus literaturgeschichtlicher Perspektive ein epochenübergreifendes Thema in der zeitgeschichtlichen Kinder- und Jugendliteratur ist. Zunächst sind Fluchtbewegungen eng mit dem Exil und der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus verbunden, danach mit der deutschen Teilung. Durch die Globalisierung der Problematik zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts und besonders seit 2015 werden Fluchtbewegungen neujustiert und für das kulturelle Gedächtnis der Nation (neu) bewertet.
Was verbirgt sich aber hinter dem Motiv Flucht? Welche Bedeutung hat der Flüchtling für die Gesellschaftskonstruktion? Welche Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten zeigen sich in der Darstellung der Flüchtlingsfiguren in den verschiedenen Epochen?
An ausgewählten Bilder-, Kinder- und Jugendbüchern, Hörspielen sowie Podcasts möchte das Seminar sich mit diesen Fragen beschäftigen, indem es sich Fluchtbewegungen aus der Perspektive des Kindes in den verschiedenen Epochen anschaut und untersucht, welche erzählerischen (Dis-)Kontinuitäten sich in der literarischen Auseinandersetzung ergeben.
